Organizational Learning Consultant Wesley Huey is a retired Navy fighter pilot and former professor of leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy. He married well and has three incredible children as a result. Wes was the Director of Learning and Development for an IT services company and realized what he and his team were doing internally to help build a Learning Organization was in demand everywhere. That he could finally partner professionally with his wife Erica in meeting that need was just ridiculously lucky.
Relationship Coach Erica Larson is a trained Marriage and Family Therapist, human resources professional, former rape crisis center Executive Director, children’s advocate, feminist, spouse of over 25 years to a career naval officer, and mother to three kind and thoughtful children. She brings to her family, friends, and community a deeply personal belief in the power of relationships to heal, to strengthen, to comfort, to create, to serve, to express humanity, to bring meaning to life. Erica’s artform is the practice of difficult conversations as the path to repair and harmony at home and work.
WE Partnerships Consulting, LLC
Your partner for
Organizational Learning and Development
in the
Identity Economy
As noted psychotherapist Esther Perel has observed, in the developed world, we now live in an Identity Economy. The boundaries between our public and private spheres are blurred beyond meaning. We interview our dates, in search of ‘match’; and we court our workplaces, in search of ‘fit’. When we find it, we bring our whole selves to work, often (and this will likely endure beyond the pandemic) without actually leaving our homes.
More so perhaps than at any point since we left the farm for the factory, our work is not just what we do; it’s who we are.
And because we invest so much of ourselves in our work, we look there for deeper meaning and purpose; we expect opportunities to develop as technicians, as leaders, and as people; we expect to do so in an environment that values our contribution; we expect to be recognized for our differences AND have them matter equally.
Learning and development are central to each of those expectations.
Organizations that make learning and development a strategic priority will increasingly be the employers of choice in the Identity Economy, where the very best talent want to know they are delivering on your organization’s mission and purpose. After all, it’s who they are.
WE are your partners in building and sustaining the mindset, toolset, and learning systems that will attract and retain the kinds of people you want, so that you enjoy competitive advantage and growth in the Identity Economy.
